For the second time, the EAU Sections of Uro-Technology and Urolithiasis were brought together for a three-day event in collaboration with the EAU Robotic Urology Section and the EAU Working Group on Paediatric Urology. Among other things, the numerous visitors were able to watch live how the innovative hydrogel method mediNiK® hydrogel method was used for residue-free stone removal after ureteroscopic laser lithotripsy. Top surgeons Dr M. Straub and Prof. Dr J. Rassweiler as well as Dr T. Amiel removed the remaining stone fragments during a live operation using the new surgical procedure.
